I am a mathematician specializing in differential geometry and geometric analysis, and am currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in the CIRGET group at l'Université de Québec à Montréal. My supervisor is Professor Frédéric Rochon. I received my PhD in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia, under the supervision of Professor Ailana Fraser and Professor Sébastien Picard. Previously, I completed an MSc at UBC supervised by Professor Fraser, and a BSc (Honours) at Thompson Rivers University, under the supervision of Professor Sean McGuinness. My research is in geometric analysis, an exciting area at the intersection of differential geometry and partial differential equations, which has many applications to physics as well as to other areas of math, including algebraic geometry and low-dimensional topology. My interests include geometric variational problems, such as
While I was an undergraduate, I was researching matroids, which generalize the notion of linear independence in a vector space, affine independence in an affine space, and independence of edge sets in a graph. | |||
